‘Preventative Chiropractic Care’ is vital to a healthy & pain-free life!
Most people believe that they should seek chiropractic care for lower back pain, neck pain, or only when they have injured themselves.
However, what people don’t realize is that chiropractic care can prevent injuries from occurring as well as well as help the body repair injuries faster if they should occur.
Chiropractors look for ‘subluxations’ or misalignment in the spine as well as assess muscles and joint health. A misalignment in the spine can negatively affect the nervous system by causing abnormal pressure and stress to the body. Added pressures to the nervous system can cause pain and discomfort in the joints, muscles, and cause symptoms like headaches, numbness, tingling, and weakness. Chiropractors detect the areas of stress and spinal discrepancies and use techniques such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue techniques, and exercise. Getting chiropractic care can relieve nerve pressure and realign the spine so that optimal function of the body is maintained.
Preventative chiropractic care is a type of care an individual can undergo when they don’t have any active or acute pain and symptoms. Everyone will not undergo the same type of preventative care.
Some individuals have a more active lifestyle which may require more attention. Others aspects of health and wellness are also addressed with preventative care such as nutrition, exercise, and mental health.
The benefits of prevention are important because when your body is free of misalignment and nerve pressures, it can perform at its best and help protect you from getting injured in the future.
Typically, people wait until they are in pain or have active symptoms before they seek help or care.
When this occurs, our bodies are more susceptible to injury, have recurrent episodes, and need prolonged treatment. Let’s use the example of dental health.
Would you wait to brush your teeth until you get a cavity or tooth pain?
If you wait until you get severe tooth pain, it may require more invasive procedures or surgery.
The same applies to our spines. Our spinal health is extremely important and unlike teeth, is irreplaceable and you only get 1!
So with a little preventative care, you can safely free your body of unknown nerve pressures and spinal misalignments to avoid future injuries.
Your body will function at its best and be prepared to protect you when it is at its optimal state of health and wellness. Take the time to invest in preventative chiropractic care and we will be sure to add more pain-free years to your life!
